This Privacy Policy explains how KeyQ LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with its principal address at 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States ("Keydle", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Keydle mobile application, website, and related services (the "Service").
Keydle is an iOS mobile app for short interactive lessons. The App may support English and Russian localizations.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Service.
1. Summary
We collect only the information needed to provide, secure, improve, and monetize the Service.
Depending on how you use Keydle, we may process:
- account information, such as email address and display name;
- sign-in information from Apple, Google, or email/password authentication;
- learning activity, such as lessons opened, completed steps, saved lessons, streaks, achievements, interests, and goals;
- subscription status and purchase-related information received through Apple App Store systems;
- analytics events, such as onboarding steps, lesson events, paywall views, and notification interactions;
- notification preferences and reminder activity;
- technical information, such as device, app, and usage information;
- support messages and waitlist emails, if you contact us or submit your email on our website.
We do not collect payment card details. App Store payments are processed by Apple.
2. Age limit and children
Keydle is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are under the age of majority in your country or region, you may use Keydle only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Account and authentication information
When you create or use an account, we may collect:
- email address;
- display name;
- user ID;
- authentication provider;
- account creation and login information.
Keydle may allow you to sign in using:
- email and password;
- Sign in with Apple;
- Google Sign-In.
If you use Apple or Google sign-in, those providers may share information such as your email address, name, or provider identifier, depending on your settings and the provider's policies.
3.2 Learning activity and preferences
We may collect and store information related to your learning experience, including:
- selected interests and topics;
- daily lesson selections;
- lesson progress;
- completed steps;
- completed lessons;
- saved lessons and bookmarks;
- streaks;
- achievements;
- daily and monthly learning goals;
- search activity inside the lesson library;
- onboarding answers and learning preferences.
Some of this information may be stored locally on your device. Some may be synced or processed through our service providers if needed to provide account features, analytics, subscription access, or support.
3.3 Subscription and purchase information
If you purchase a subscription, Apple processes the payment. We may receive or process information needed to determine subscription status, entitlement, trial eligibility, offer eligibility, cancellation status, or restore purchases.
We do not collect or store your full payment card number.
3.4 Analytics and product usage information
We use analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve lessons, onboarding, subscription flows, and product performance.
Analytics events may include:
- onboarding started, viewed, answered, completed, or exited;
- lesson opened, resumed, viewed, completed, exited, saved, or unsaved;
- step viewed and step type;
- quiz/check interactions;
- paywall shown, dismissed, continued, selected plan, and purchase-related events;
- trial explanation events;
- notification permission, scheduling, and opening events;
- content version and lesson identifiers;
- general device and app information.
3.5 Notifications
If you allow notifications, we may process notification permission status and notification interactions. Notifications may include:
- daily learning reminders;
- trial reminders;
- subscription or paywall reminders;
- welcome offer reminders;
- learning plan reminders.
You can disable notifications in your device settings.
3.6 Website and waitlist information
If you submit your email on our website or join a waitlist, we may collect:
- email address;
- submission date and time;
- the page URL where the form was submitted;
- consent status for receiving Keydle early access and launch updates;
- UTM parameters, such as utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign, if present;
- any message or request you submit.
We use this information to manage the Keydle waitlist, send early access and launch updates, understand which marketing channels brought users to the website, and respond to requests.
Website implementation may change over time as we connect forms, analytics, or email tools.
3.7 Support and communications
If you contact us, we may collect:
- your email address;
- your name;
- the content of your message;
- information needed to understand and resolve your request;
- related account or diagnostic information you choose to provide.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and manage accounts;
- authenticate users;
- provide lessons and learning features;
- personalize lesson recommendations and daily content;
- save progress, streaks, bookmarks, achievements, and goals;
- process subscription access and premium entitlements;
- provide free trials, introductory offers, promotional offers, and restore purchases;
- manage the website waitlist and send early access, launch, and related product updates where you have provided consent;
- send reminders and notifications, if enabled;
- improve content, product design, onboarding, and paywall flows;
- analyze App usage and performance;
- respond to support, privacy, and legal requests;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;
- comply with legal obligations.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where required by applicable law, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Service, account access, subscriptions, and requested features.
- Consent: for optional notifications, certain analytics choices where required, and some marketing communications.
- Legitimate interests: to improve the App, measure product performance, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
- Legal obligations: to comply with laws, tax, accounting, App Store, and regulatory requirements.
6. Third-party services
We may use third-party service providers to operate and improve Keydle, including:
- Apple App Store and StoreKit for downloads, in-app purchases, subscriptions, trials, refunds, and subscription management;
- Sign in with Apple for authentication;
- Google Sign-In for authentication;
- Firebase Authentication for account authentication;
- Firebase Analytics or Google Analytics for Firebase for product analytics;
- Firebase Hosting or related hosting/CDN services for lesson delivery and app content;
- Google Apps Script and Google Sheets for collecting and storing website waitlist submissions;
- email, support, and website service providers, if used.
These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control all processing performed by third-party providers.
7. App Store privacy information
Apple requires developers to provide app privacy information in App Store Connect. The exact App Store privacy labels for Keydle should be configured to match the final released version of the App and its third-party services.
Based on the current planned product, categories that may need review include:
- Contact Info, such as email address;
- User ID;
- Purchases or subscription status;
- Product Interaction;
- User Content, if future free-text reflections, notes, or messages are stored;
- Identifiers;
- Usage Data;
- Diagnostics, if crash or performance reporting is added;
- Other Data, if any additional analytics or support data is introduced.
This list should be reviewed before App Store submission.
8. Sharing of information
We may share information:
- with service providers that help operate Keydle;
- with Apple for App Store purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and account-level subscription management;
- with authentication providers when you use Apple or Google sign-in;
- if required by law, court order, or government request;
- to protect the rights, safety, and security of Keydle, users, or others;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets;
- with your consent or at your direction.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising unless we clearly disclose it and obtain any required consent.
9. International transfers
Keydle may be available in multiple countries and may use service providers that process data in the United States, the European Economic Area, and other locations. Your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
10. Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and support legitimate business needs.
Examples:
- account data is generally retained while your account exists;
- lesson progress, streaks, bookmarks, and achievements are retained while needed for your learning profile;
- analytics data may be retained in aggregated or event form for product analysis;
- subscription records may be retained as needed for accounting, App Store compliance, and dispute handling;
- waitlist emails may be retained until the App launches, until you unsubscribe or request deletion, or as long as needed for early access and launch communications;
- support communications may be retained to manage requests and improve support.
When information is no longer needed, we will delete it, anonymize it, or retain it only as required by law.
11. Account deletion and privacy rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or other rights regarding your personal information by contacting us at support@keydle-app.com.
If you create an account, Keydle will provide an in-app way to initiate account deletion where required by App Store rules. Until that flow is fully available, you may request deletion at support@keydle-app.com.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- access personal information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete information;
- object to or restrict processing;
- withdraw consent;
- receive a copy of your information;
- lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
12. Notifications and marketing choices
You can turn off push notifications in your iOS settings.
If we send marketing emails, you may unsubscribe using the link in the email or by contacting us. Transactional or service-related messages may still be sent when necessary.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
14. Local storage on your device
Keydle may store some information locally on your device, including preferences, selected interests, goals, streak information, lesson progress, saved lessons, cached lesson content, and feature state. If you delete the App, some local information may be removed from your device, but account-level or server-side information may remain until deleted under our retention practices.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the App, website, email, or other appropriate means.
The updated policy will be effective when posted or when otherwise stated.
